3⁄4 cup granulated sugar
5 large eggs
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
3 cups cubed bread
1⁄4 cup light brown sugar
1⁄4 cup butter, softened
1 cup chopped pecan nuts
2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
1⁄4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon butter
1⁄2 cup fresh cream
1 teaspoons vanilla essence
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease an ovenproof dish.
Beat/liquidize granulated sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla.
Arrange cubed bread in ovenoroof dish and pour liquid over. let it sit for 10 minutes.
Mix together brown sugar, butter,cinnamon and pecans.
Sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the top of bread mixture and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set.
Remove from oven.
Mix together sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar is melted and sauce thickens slightly.
Pour over warm bread pudding.
Serve warm or cold. Lovely served with vanilla ice cream.
