2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter)
1 teaspoon salt
1 - 1½ cups buttermilk
Sieve flour, Baking powder and salt, add ghee (Clarified butter) rub together with finger tip.
Add the buttermilk and mix into a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes.
Put in a dish cover with cling wrap and leave to stand 30-60 minutes
Sprinkle flour on bench roll in a big circle cut desired shapes.
Fry in hot oil golden brown.
Definitely a keepsake recipe! Puri's came out lovely and fluffy
Salt was a bit too much for me though, so I would reduce to 1tsp or 1 1/2 tsp
