Spice powder: 8-10 dry Red chilies 1 teaspoon cumin 1 tablespoon coriander seeds 2 small pieces of Mace Dry roast all the ingredients. Cool and grind to fine powder.
5 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter) or oil 2 red chilies 4 cloves 6 green cardamoms 2 black cardamoms 3 bay leaves 2 cinnamon sticks 2 tablespoon garlic 1 tablespoon ginger 1 large chopped onion 1 chicken 1 tablespoon Kashmiri chili powder Spice powder 1 cup yogurt Salt to taste ½ lemon
In a pot heat oil. Now add dry chilies, green & black cardamoms, cinnamon, bay leaves, cloves and let them roast in oil. Add ginger garlic and fry few seconds. Add onion and sauté until light golden in color. Add chicken fry on high heat stirring in between until spices coat the chicken and well fried. Add spice powder,Kashmiri chili powder cook for 5 minutes now add yogurt and cook 5 more minutes. Once gravy begins to boil add water salt and cook till chicken is tender.
