Aaloo (potato)-kheema (mince) Patties
500 grams minced meat (chicken/mutton)
3-4 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
½ onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon haldi
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 green chillies chopped
½ tablespoon black pepper
½ cup coriander leaves,chopped
¼ cup mint,chopped
Salt to taste
Heat about 2 teaspoon oil in a pan, and fry the onions till slightly golden. Add in the ginger-garlic paste and saute.
Add the mince meat, red chilli, coriander, and garam masala powder. Allow the meat to cook in its own juices, till all the water has dried out and the meat has cooked.let it cool slightly.
Then add chopped green chilies,coriander and mint.
Now boil the potatoes and mash them. Make sure the potatoes are not over boiled.To the mashed potatoes add salt and pepper.
4. Flatten a ball of mashed potatoes on your palm. Place a tablespoon of minced meat in the center, and fold it with the mashed potato. Make flat, round patties.
5. Dip in beaten egg and shallow fry until golden brown on both sides.
