Cauliflower & Mince Dry Curry Pic cred: Ruhana EbrahimRec cred: @mama_taught_me_well Ingredients:1 large head cauliflowerPinch bicarbonate of sodaPinch salt1 cup frozen peas500g beef/mutton mince1 large onion (sliced)2 tablespoon oil1 stick taj (cinnamon)½ teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin) seeds1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon dhana jeeroo powder1 ½ teaspoon chilli powder¼ teaspoon turmeric1 teaspoon mustard powder1 tablespoon brown vinegar1 ½ teaspoon red ginger garlic masala2 large tomatoes (liquidized)Water as needed
1. Cut off florets and soak cauliflower.2. Just bring to boil with bicarb and salt.3. Rinse, drain, leave aside.4. Braise onion in oil with taj and Jeeru (Cumin). 5. Add masala, spices and vinegar.6. Add washed and drained mince and braise till no liquid remains.7. Add peas, cauliflower and tomatoes.8. Cook till tomato is reduced.9. Add 1 cup water and cook till no liquid remains.10. Do not over stir pot as the cauliflower will break up. Serve with bread or roti.
