Marinade : ½ kg fish / fish fillet 2 teaspoon ginger and garlic 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon dhana ground ½ teaspoon garam masala ¼ teaspoon arad (Turmeric) Juice of half lemon
Coating : 2 tablespoon flour 2 tablespoon gram flour Salt to taste Chilli powder ½ teaspoon saumph powder 1 spring curry leaves chopped
Wash and drain fish. Combine ingredients for Marinate, add fish and marinate for 30 minutes. Combine ingredients for the coating. Coat fish and set aside until flour is moist. Heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry fish until crisp and cooked through.

This recipe goes well with khuri khichri as well as dhal and rice as a side dish
