INGREDIENTS
- 1 chicken
- 1 teaspoon chilli garlic masala
- 1 teaspoon red chillies
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed cumin
- 1 teaspoon tandoori powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup tomato sauce
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoon thick greek yoghurt
Basting sauce
- left over marinade
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoon tomato sauce
METHOD
1) Cut the chicken into large portions
2) make slashes on the chicken portions
3) Combine all the marinade ingredients and marinate the chicken for 5 to 6 hours minimum
4) Boil the ingredients for basting sauce
- braai (bbq) chicken on coals or grill in oven, basting with basting sauce
INFO & TIPS
☆ I omitted the chillies for a much milder version
☆ I didnt do the step of basting sauce. I have just marinated it in a pyrex dish overnight then cooked it with the marinade in the oven at 180°C for 45mn more or less (covered with foil for 30mns then uncovered for 15mn).
