INGREDIENTS
125g butter
1 cup castor sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 eggs
¾ cup milk
2 cups flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon cocoa
4 tablespoon water
METHOD
cream butter and sugar till light and creamy.
beat in vanilla essence
add eggs singly beating well after each addition
add milk alternately with flour and baking powder
place half the batter into a well greased pan
mix cocoa powder with water to make a paste and stir into the balance of the cake batter
spoon on to the white batter and swirl with a spoon.
bake at 180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes and check with a skewer.
