INGREDIENTS
Recipe credit : cooking and baking creations
2 eggs
1 cup castor sugar
4 tablespoon melted butter
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoon vanilla essence
4 cups flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
½ teaspoon salt
Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 stick cinnamon
METHOD
Beat eggs, sugar, melted butter, vanilla and buttermilk together.
Add the sifted dry ingredients to the egg mixture to form a soft dough.
Roll out and cut with a doughnut cutter.
Fry in medium hot oil till golden.
Syrup
Boil until slightly sticky for about 15 minutes
Dip doughnuts in warm syrup then in coconut.
