INGREDIENTS
1 chicken
2 large onions (chopped)
2 large tomatoes (grated/ground)
(Onions & tomatoes similar in size)
Taj
Whole jeeroo
Lavang
Elachi (cardomom) pods
Cinnnamon sticks
Red Ginger/garlic masala
Dhana/jeeroo
Green ground masala
Salt to taste
ghee (Clarified butter)/oil
Boil rice separately ~ set aside
METHOD
In a pot add ghee (Clarified butter)/oil & all the whole spices.Braise onions until golden brown than add the red ginger garlic masala, green ground chillies, dhana/jeeroo & salt, braise for 1-2 minutes add ½ water & let it cook until the water reduces, add chicken & tomatoes @ the same time & cook until done. Add rice & steam. Fry potatoes & add to the the akhni.
The gravy shud be as thick (like 4 chicken & rice)
