INGREDIENTS
6 lg corn on the cobs
1 heaped tablespoon chana flour
1 teaspoon crushed green or red chillies
1 tablespoon chopped coriander
salt to taste
¼ teaspoon turmeric
1 beaten egg
+/- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
oil for deep frying
METHOD
grate the corn off the cob collecting it in a
bowl.will get slightly liquidy if fresh but dont
worry.add the rest of the ingrdients except for
the baking powder and mix it in well using a
metal spoon.
heat oil and finally add baking powder to the
batter. drop in small rounds by cupping your
fingers.fry on medium heat to enable cooking
through. if you feel they are going flat add a
pinch or more of baking powder. do not add too
much baking powder @ once otherwise the bhajiyas
tend to soak in alot of oil.serve hot with chutney
