Sticky Fried Orange Chicken

Ingredients:1kg chicken fillet (small cubes)
Marinade-1 teaspoon salt½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper½ teaspoon white pepper1 teaspoon chilli powder1 teaspoon ground ginger paste¼ cup orange juice¼ cup maizena (corn flour) 2 tablespoon flour1 egg
Basting Sauce1 tablespoon oil1 teaspoon ground garlic paste1 teaspoon ground ginger paste2 cups Orange juice 1 tablespoon soy sauce2 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce1 tablespoon vinegar2 tablespoon maizena (corn flour) mixed in 1 tablespoon cold water
Garnish-1 tablespoon sesame seedsChopped spring onions1 teaspoon rough red chillies
Method:1. Mix marinade ingredients well.2. Add in chicken. Coat well. 3. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.4. Deep fry chicken on 150degC until golden. 5. To make the basting sauce, in a bowl, mix the orange juice, soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce & maizena (corn flour) mixture.6. In a wok, heat oil for the sauce.7. Add the ginger & garlic fry for 30 seconds. 8. Add the sauce mixture & simmer until sauce thickens. 9. Add chicken and mix to coat well.10. Sprinkle garnish & serve.
Serve with plain rice, or egg fried rice or veg stir fry. Or make into wraps with salad.
