2 cups Channa flour 1 cup water1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon elachie powder Egg yellow powder1 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter)
Syrup 2 cups sugar 1 cup water Few strands saffron
Add channa flour, baking powder, elachie powder. Now add in ghee (Clarified butter) and mix like breadcrumbs then add water to make a thick batter , add egg yellow powder.
Now fry in oil till golden and crispy. Use a slotted spoon so little drops fall into the oil. Drain well. Then add to syrup. Soak 2 to 3 hours or over night. Then make balls.
SyrupBoil sugar with water and saffron for about 20 minutes till abit thick.
