INGREDIENTS
500g Fish Fillets Marinade it in spices from this recipe: https://halaal.recipes/recipes/details/5576/battered-fish-my-recipe
1 teaspoon crushed garlic1 teaspoon ground green chillies 1 teaspoon white pepper 1 teaspoon mixed herbssalt to taste
Batter: 2/3 cups self raising flour½ teaspoon salt½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda1 tablespoon white vinegar2/3 cups water
METHOD
1. Cut fillets as desired. Pat dry with paper towels.2. Marinade in the spices above.3. Mix bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar.4. Stir vinegar mixture and water into flour mixture, Beat until smooth.5. Dip fish into batter, allowing excess batter to drip off.
INFO & TIPS
Serve with a homemade lemon butter sauce.
