RECIPE
Mariba pies are fried pies
Mariba pie tip is to fry then freeze thaw and heat when required
METHOD2 cups flour2 tablespoon butter2 teaspoon baking powder½ teaspoon salt Rub flour Mix with warm. Milk and water to make a soft dough (Optional I also sometimes add 1 small egg to the warm water and milk (optional is 1 tablespoon maas.or Yoghurt I find it gives a soft slightly spongy texture) Knead well
Leave dough to rest few minutes
Make ping ball roll out small rounds For puri put fillingClose and twist edges FRY then freeze (my experience I feel it does not get hard) HoweverIt can be frozen at this stage
MY TIP is to FRY before freezing If not You can allow it to thaw before you fry
