INGREDIENTS
½ kg beef minceHalf an onion choppedHalf green pepper chopped1 tomato chopped1 teaspoon crushed garlic1 ½ teaspoon braising spices2 teaspoon curry powder (depending on your taste)2 teaspoon oilCurry leaves3 potatoesSalt to taste ¼ mixed veg or peas
METHOD
Peel and cut potatoes in quarters and set aside in some water.
Chop onions, green peppers, add your garlic and curry leaves.
In a pot add your oil and braising spices then put your onions, green pepper, garlic and curry leaves.
Once onions turn pinkish in colour, add your curry powder and put your tomatoes.
Add some water to your pot and stir properly and allow tomatoes to cook.
Once tomatoes are cooked, add your mince and a little water. Keep monitoring your pot, each time mash the mince a little and add water.
Add your salt to taste.
Check your pot at least every 15 minutes.
When mince is half way cooked, add your potatoes and mixed veg/peas. Add a little more water.
Make sure the mince has not dried out. There must be a little gravy before turning your plate off after the pototoes are cooked.
