INGREDIENTS
6 cups cake flour 125gr butter/ Margarine ½ teaspoon salt1 cup warmed milk ¼ cup warm water1 packet yeast 1 cup sugar½ teaspoon nutmeg/ all spice1 teaspoon vanilla essence 2 eggs
METHOD
Step 1
Activate yeastTake your packet yeast and add it into the ¼ cup of warm water. Please not boiling must be warm
Step 2 Melt your butter/ Margarine Add in 1 cup sugar2 eggsVanilla essence 1 cup warm milk
Whisk it all together or you can make use of a hand beater (so much quicker)
Step 3Sift your 6 cups flourAdd in your salt And nutmeg/ allspice
Now combine wet ingredients to dry ingredients
And please take note its gonna be sticky Grease your hands nicely with oil as you knead the dough out for about 10 minutes
Grease your bowl and cover with a plastic and let sit in a warm place till its risen
Once its risen punch down please grease your hands again with oil and knead again for about 10 minutes
Then put in your greased bowl again for another 20 minutes
After your 20 minutes are done roll out on a floured surface during this time make sure to heat your oil your oil shouldn't be too hot where if u frying it gets dark too quickly
Taking care that it starts from a light brown then starts getting darker and not too dark like its burning
Once u cut all I set it on greaseproof paper with sifted flour so it does not stick because your dough would be still slightly sticky
