INGREDIENTS
2 Steak fillets Half an onion - cut into rings 3 tablespoon butter 2 chillies crushed or crushed chilli paste1 whole green pepper sliced
Spices for marinate :1 tablespoon Ginger and Garlic 1 teaspoon black pepper Salt (add to taste)1 teaspoon paprika 1 tablespoon kashmiri Chilli powder Half a teaspoon garlic powder Half a teaspoon dania Jeeru (Cumin) powder Pinch of turmeric powder2 teaspoon crushed chilli flakes 1 teaspoon organum
Sauces :3 tablespoon mayonnaise 2 tablespoon tomato sauce 3 tablespoon Nandos sauce or any peri peri sauce of your choice
¼ cup milk2 teaspoon flour
Mash :
2 potatoes Water for boil Salt1 teaspoon pepper1 teaspoon organum 3 or 4 tablespoon butter ¼ cup milk (check for consistency)4 small squares blocks of cheese
METHOD
I always marinate my steak atleast an hour before cooking it .
Marinate prep :
1. Add all your spices for marinate to your steak and then add all your sauces to it . Mix well until all parts of your steak gets the marinate coating . Leave in the fridge at a minimum of 1 hour .
You can choose to make the 2 steak fillets as whole or into 4 pieces
2. While your steak marinate is setting in the fridge . You can start with your mash . Boil the potatoes until soft , drain the water , mash your potatoes and then add your butter. Add in your spices for your mash as per above . Then add your milk , use accordingly to a light consistency. And set aside for a few minutes to cool down .
3. Saute your chillies and pepper in a pan with butter . Allow to saute 4. Add in your steak marinate and allow to cook . 5 . Once your steak is cooked and your marinate is still in the pan , take out your steak and set aside . 6. With the remainder of sauce in the pan , add the flour and the milk and make a creamy sauce with that . Then add in your steak again and let it sizzle for about a minute and set aside .
7. Deep fry your onion rings 8. While your onion rings deep fry , take the mash into your hands and shape into balls and add the block of cheese into the center of the mash ball .
9 . Then you assemble your dish . First add your cheesey mash onto the plate you serving on and pop into microwave for like 1 minute just to melt the cheese inside . Then once done , dish your steak on the top of the mash and drizzle the sauce on top of it and garnish with your deep fried onion and
