3 cups flour1 cup castor sugar6 teaspoon baking powderMix the above125g butter-rub into aboveMix1 cup inkomazi1 teaspoon vanilla essence1 egg
Mix all the dry ingredients, rub in the butter. Mix the inkomazi, vanilla and egg together and use to make a soft rollable dough. Pat the dough and cut with scone cutter.It should be atleast 1 inch thick. Brush top with egg. Bake on 180© for about 15 minutes until done.Serve with butter, jam, cream & cheese.. Enjoy

Butter is best for this recipe.
Can use selfraising flour, but omit baking powder then.
