INGREDIENTS
½ kg chicken bone meat1 x Onion 1 x green chilli (optional)1 x Cinnamon stick2 x cloves 1 x elaichi pod3 x peppercorns1 x Carrot (optional)3 tablespoon butter/ ghee (Clarified butter)1 cooking spoon of oil ½ teaspoon fresh ginger 1 teaspoon Dhana Jeeru (Cumin) ½ teaspoon Jeeru (Cumin)¼ teaspoon black pepperSalt + Aromat (a South African Spice) to taste
METHOD
1. Start by braising your onions in oil, add in your butter, along with the Jeeru (Cumin), cinnamon, cloves and elaichi pod in a pot on medium- high heat
2. Once the onions are golden , cut chicken into smaller pieces, add into the pot along with your green chilli, peppercorns and ginger
3. Add all other spices to the pot , braise out your chicken and let it cook on medium heat.
4. Once the chicken is cooked, add in water to cover the meat and your sliced carrots ( if you’re not such a big fan of carrots you can grate them as well or simply omit )
5. Once the carrots are semi done and the soup starts to boil, fill up the pot to your desired quantity
6. If the soup is too watery, let the water boil out until you’re satisfied

INFO & TIPS
This soup is not strong , if you’d like a stronger effect add in red chilli powder/ additional green chillies or extra ginger !
