INGREDIENTS
•1 tablespoon ghee (Clarified butter)•1 cinnamon stick •2-3 bay leaves•4 cardamoms•⅓ cup crushed Vermicelli •2 cups milk•¼ cup sugar•Garnish (optional): Almond slivers, pistachio slivers, shredded coconut
METHOD
1. Heat ghee (Clarified butter) in a pan and sauté the whole spices until fragrant. 2. Mix in the Vermicelli and stir fry for a few minutes.3. Add milk and mix in the sugar. 4. Cook on medium flame until it's creamy and thick consistency. Serve warm or chilled.
INFO & TIPS
A family favourite recipe. This dessert is a must have during Ramadan, special occasions and Eid. We enjoy this on it's own, with ice cream or paratha.
