INGREDIENTS
3 cups dry prawns 1 ½ cup oil 1 large onion1 ½ teaspoon jeeru (cumin) 2 cups blended tomatoes 1 teaspoon heaped garlic paste ¼ teaspoon turmeric 1 heaped teaspoon dhana powder 1 heaped teaspoon hot chilli powder 1 teaspoon paprika powder 6 whole corn1 stick cinnamon 2 Elachi (cardomom) 1 tablespoon vinegar 2-4 whole green chillies Salt as needed
METHOD
3 cups dry prawns soak in warm water for at least 2 hours and then clean them well.
In a pot put 1 ½ cup of oil with 1 large diced onion and 1 ½ teaspoon whole jeeru (cumin).Cook till golden.Add in 2 cups blended tomato and 1 teaspoon heaped of garlic paste . Lower heat to medium and add ¼ teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon heaped dhana 1 teaspoon heaped chilli powder and 1 teaspoon paprika, 6 whole pepper 1 cinnamon stick 2 Elachi (cardomom) and Let it cook till semi dry. Add in 1 tablespoon of vinegar and then add in the prawns and 2-4 whole green chillies . Stir and cook for 5 minutes. Taste for salt . I add salt after the prawns bcoz at times these prawns can be very salty. If needed adjust the chilli too. Serve with a Serve with roti .Delicacy to enjoy at breakfast …
