INGREDIENTS
4-5 croissants
500 ml cream1 c milkcastor sugar (according to your preference)2 eggsVanilla essence and caramel essence
Cinnamon sugarSliced almonds or pecans
cardamom powder (optional)
METHOD
Slice and butter the croissants and cut into chunks.
Arrange in an oven proof dish,
Mix the cream,milk,sugar and beat eggs well. Add the essences and pour this over the croissants. Sprinkle the nuts of your choice and cinnamon sugar and or cardamom powder if using.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and serve warm with custard is desired.
INFO & TIPS
I omitted the cardamom powder and only used cinnamon sugar
I used almonds instead of pecans
