INGREDIENTS
β’ 1Β½ cup Steers 1000 Island or Trimβ’ 1 Satchet Tomato Pasteβ’ 2 tablespoon Peri Peri oilβ’ 1 teaspoon mustard powderβ’ 2 tablespoon Plain Red Chillies Masalaβ’ 2 tablespoon Fresh Crushed Garlicβ’ 1 teaspoon lemon pepperβ’ 1 teaspoon crushed black pepperβ’ 3 tablespoon Lemon Juiceβ’ 1 teaspoon Robertsons Peri Peri Spiceβ’ 1 teaspoon Robertsons Paprikaβ’ 1 teaspoon Robertsons Garlic Flakesβ’ 1 teaspoon Aromat (a South African Spice)
- Mix all ingredients well together- Adjust seasonings according to your quantity of prawns & taste.
METHOD
β’ 1 or 2 pkts Tightline Fisheries (or brand of your choice ) jumbo deluxe cut & deveined prawns with shell on
- Clean, wash & drain prawns- Pat them dry with a paper towel- Leave shells on- Butterfly each prawn open- Dip each prawn into your marinade & place flat onto an oven tray- Add small blobs of garlic butter to each
- Just before serving grill in an oven 230Β°c grill setting, uncovered for 5-8 minutes or until done.( I.e don't cover the prawn tray with foil )
- Heat up any extra marinade (or make abit more if you don't have any leftover) in a saucepan with ΒΌlb. butter until it thickens slightly & drizzle it over the grilled prawns- Serve the remainder in a gravy sauce boat or bowl to be added as the individual prefers
- Serve with sides of salad , savoury rice & chips.
