INGREDIENTS
1 packet chicken/beef franks.
½ cup flour
½ cup yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ cup milk
1 large egg
Oil for frying
METHOD
1. Heat oil in large saucepan on meduim high heat
2. Insert franks with skewers or lollipop sticks and set aside
In a bowl combine flour,cornmeal,sugar,baking powder,salt and pepper
3. In a measuring glass or another bowl whisk egg and milk together
4. Pour over dry ingredients and stir just until moist
5. Using a tall glass pour the batter in and then roll the franks in cornflour and then dip in batter
6. Fry in oil for 2-3 minutes two @ a time until golden and crispy
7. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate
INFO & TIPS
These can be made ahead and frozen. When needed put in microwave and enjoy. Can put some sauce on top when serving. Kids will love this. Can also make them in mini cut franks in half
