INGREDIENTS
5 eggs
250 ml (1 cup) sugar
4 tablespoons butter
125 ml ( ½ ) cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
310 ml (1 ¼ cups ) flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
ICING:
4oz butter
half cup castor sugar
4 tablespoons boiling water
4 tablespoons ice cold milk
METHOD
Beat eggs and sugar well together until light and fluffy! In a saucepan over heat bring the butter milk and vanilla to a boil. Sift flour and baking powder together! Fold in flour and egg mixture alternatively with the heated liquid mixture! Mix well and pour into one big greased pan or into two sandwich pans!! Bake at 180 degrees until when a knife poked in comes out clean!! When cake has cooled decorate with vanilla icing!!
icing: beat butter till white add in the sugar! Add the boiling water first one tablespoon at a time then add in the iced cold milk and beat well!!!

INFO & TIPS
I only put one tablespoon of water and milk as I didn't want my icing to be too runny!!!
