INGREDIENTS
Bismillah hir Rahman nir Raheem
{A well-seasoned steak fillet covered in my infamous Adega Inspired Sauce}
1kg Rump Steak, sliced as desired1 tablespoon chilli garlic masala1 tablespoon Robertson’s Steak and Chops spice½ teaspoon lemon pepperSalt to tastePink spicy salt (optional)Melted ghee (Clarified butter)
Method:Marinate the steak and cook in ghee (Clarified butter) till done. Adding water as needed.
For the Adega inspired sauce you will need:125g Butter2 tablespoon Crushed Garlic2 tablespoon Crushed Green Chilli (optional) I omitted 4-6 tablespoon Nandos Bushveld Peri Sauce4 tablespoon mayonnaise 1 cup fresh cream Salt to tasteChopped Chives for garnish
METHOD
In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the crushed garlic and chilli.Allow the heat through until the aroma fills the air.Add in the mayonnaise, spices, cream and season with salt.Bring to a light boil.Pour over the steaks and simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce reduces to the desired consistency.Garnish with chives.
Spicy riceBoil 1 & ½ cups basmati or rice of your choice with Robertsons spicy for rice.Drain rice once done. Add back into pot.In a pan add 2 tablespoon oil, finely sliced peppers, spice for rice and lemon pepper. Throw over rice. Serve with steak.Enjoy.
