INGREDIENTS: 2 cups ordinary sugar 3 cups cake flour 2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup cocoa powder 2 cups water 1 cup oil 2 tablespoon white vinegar 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, bicarb., salt and cocoa. Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Pour into a greased and lined rectangle pan. Bake for 40 minutes, or until knife inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Top with buttercream icing/ ganache.
