500g Mutton mince 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic 1 full teaspoon red masala 1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon chilli powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper ¼ teaspoon tumeric powder 1 teaspoon ground dhana ½ teaspoon ground jeeru (cumin) ½ teaspoon garam masala 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon whole jeeru (cumin) 1 big cinnamon stick 1 star anees 3 Elachi (cardomom) pods5 pepper corns3 cloves Curry leaves 2 medium potatoes cubed 1 large onion 3 tomatoes grated3 tablespoon tomato puree ¼ cup coconut oil /ghee (Clarified butter)
- braise onion with oil /ghee (Clarified butter) and whole spices until slightly golden brown. - add ginger garlic and red masala allow to braise for a minute. - add mince with spices (except for the garam masala), braise few minutes. - add tomatoes, tomato puree and potatoes. - cook on medium heat till potatoes are soft. - add little water if necessary. - when done sprinkle garam masala & garnish with freshly chopped dhania (coriander) serve with hot rotis.
