INGREDIENTS
2 cups broken vermicelli3 tablespoon solid ghee (Clarified butter)2 sticks cinnamon2 cardamom pods1 cup chopped dates (reserve some for garnish, or ½ cup sultanas)1 cup ordinary sugar (or to taste)½ cup boiling water½ cup milk1 small tin dessert cream/ or whipped coconut creamChopped pistachios
METHOD
1. Braise dates, whole spices and broken vermicelli in ghee (Clarified butter) till vermicelli turns golden.2. Add water and simmer till cooked.3. Add milk and sugar and simmer till it's absorbed by vermicelli.4. Cook till dry and loose'ish.5. Garnish with cream, reserved chopped dates & pistachios slivers/badaam.#mamataughtmewellrecipes

Notes:
The cream is an optional garnish. May leave off, but many like the creaminess of dessert cream added on top.
