INGREDIENTS
3 cups of hot water3 tablespoons butter7 tablespoons of milk1 ¼ - ½ teaspoon salt (taste)
Whisk the ingredients below together and keep aside:1 ½ cups cold water2 cups maize meal flour (I use Iwisa)Pinch of salt
METHOD
1.) Add the hot water, butter, milk and salt in a non-stick pot and bring it to a boil.2.) When the water starts to boil, lower the heat to low, add the maize meal mixture and whisk vigorously for a bit (approx 2-3 minute) to remove any lumps. 3.) Place the lid over the pot and cook on low heat for approx 10-12 minutes - stir every couple of minutes with a wooden spoon until the pap/sadza/seema begins to thicken slightly and moves away easily from the sides of the pot.
