onions,even if it's just a little,throw them away.Wash ur pot & start over 
because the burnt onions will make ur food taste bitter.If u burn ur food 
scoop out the contents except the burnt excess at the bottom,put in a 
new pot with freshly fried onions.

To crisp up leftover crisps (potato n other kinds) or cereal put them in 
bowl n microwave it for 30 seconds at a time till it crisps up again. Wen it 
cools it will be crisp again. 

if you have any mushroom leftover u may freeze it by first cutting the 
bottom of mushroom , slicing dem , put in a pkt n freeze , texture colour n 
taste wil stil remain same 

I  now use beat n mix method for any butter cake recipes This method 
produces perfect results. Try it, its so much quicker
