You may add any flavouring, vanilla essence, strawberry or lemon essence... you need to beat the eggs and sugar very well before adding in the rest of the ingredients. the texture depends on the beating.

Salaams, I made this cake and it turned out absolutely delicious And beautiful. The sponge cake was soft and moist however a bit dense or heavy. It also lacked the vanilla flavouring. I\'m not sure whether the vanilla essence was erroneously excluded from the recipe or whether u do not use it at all. Please can you tell me how to make this cake a bit lighter and can I use the vanilla essence to enhance the vanilla flavour? I definitely want to make this cake again. Jazakallah

Shireen, no I do not add onions to my vagaar. You can add salt according to your taste, perhaps you prefer more or less salt.
Slmz..the last time I made chicken wings(fried them - spur chicken wings),when we bit into it there was still blood in it and totally put us off. I have wings marinated in my freezer but I\'m to scared to cook them now incase we have that same scenario. What can i do/how can I cook them without them bleeding.
