Wa alaikumussalam. I havnt tried it in any other way. But i think the trick is to cook the potatoes in the cream.. I guess you can try baking the entire time in the oven without the cheese and before its completely done put your grated cheese on top just for it to melt. Hope that hels.

Wslm... U Can use hinds southern coating... Or make ur own by adding 1 tsp aromat, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper salt 1 tsp dried oregano about a tsp baking powder for 1 cup flour

I love this recipe ..it's my favourite , thank you for sharing !! Omitted the vanilla essence for elachi powder , my family loved it , also omitted the milk for coconut milk and decorated it with fresh coconut ..it was beautiful

Wslmz.I was also skeptical at first,but the original recipe says 3 tblspn,and this is what I put in,it tasted fine and was light in texture.Im not sure how it will turn out if you use less than that.Hope that helps❤️
