Made the milktart but instead of the base I replaced it with crushed tennis biscuits. It came out very nice.

@TAZZY - heya its because you used the brown onion soup it changes the color completely and the brown onion soup changes the flavor also slightly

Made this today ... it doesn't look like yours🙈 I used brown onion soup cannot find white onion , But it was very tasty
mine came out tangy..i think its the pineapple we have here ..the syrup is not sweetened....its like just preserved in water..in SA i think its in syrup

@FATHIMA - you cant really ommit it . wont take nice without the syrup the sweetness comes from syrup . like when you making baklava the syrup is a must . will come slightly soft just like as a baklava

@FATHIMA - before serving is preferable coz the phylo gets too soft if you pour long before

this was nice...although did not taste like custard...had to add much more sugar...but probably cos i made custard, no access to ultra mel... made alittle extra custard and poured over to serve
