And agar agar powder would have to be heated in liquid before being added to the mixture. So 1 tbl agar agar might work for 1 tbl of gelatine in the marshmallows (that's what I've read thus far on net equal amount substitutes work) and it should be maybe rather soaked in sugar water n boiled with it and then added to the other ingredients and beaten. If u do make it with agar agar powder plz let me know how it comes out and what you did.

I'm sure u can though I've never tried it with a gelatine substitute so I'm not sure of how much ud need to substitute for the gelatine in order for the marshmallows to set.

Assalaam w w...I made mine with shredded cooked chicken then add to my fresh blended tomatoes n a quarter of red pepper, also add aromat pwdr n italian tomato paste to my sauce. Layered mine as follows: mash,chicken/tomato sauce then white sauce, grated cheese n lasagna sheets till ingredients finished. All i can say, hubby n kid loved it. ALHAMDULILLAAH, it was a hit👌
