As-salaamu-alaikum Can any pepper sauce be used or must be nandos? Lancewood/inna parmans/royco/knorr (dry) pepper sauce? Maaf haven't tasted them but would it make a difference?

Wslm Mehjabeen. I personally have not tried this recipe without coffee as I believe that is what gives the flavor, you could perhaps try a cup of cappuccino. If you do try with anything else please let us know how it came out. JazakAllah
@Fathima Jasat - slmz i cooked it on stove n on fire outside.but I use a tyrpoid so it stays balanced... my friend from Morocco said u can put direct but I hvent .. but I knw maintenance of it is lot. my daughter soaks it in cold water few hours before we use. and allow to cook completly than washes it out after we eat. oil it n we cover in plastic bag for nxt use.... I hvent tried oven yet...

@Mehjabeen Jable - Here is the best ever plain sponge cake recipe which you can use for cupcakes as well: Vanilla Sponge Ingredients: 125g butter 1 1/2 cups flour 1 cup castor sugar 3 eggs 3/4 cup milk 1 tspn vanilla essence 3 tspns baking powder Method: Preheat oven to 160 degrees. Add butter and milk and microwave until butter melts. Keep aside. In a separate dish, add eggs and sugar. Beat well until light and fluffy. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. Add melted butter and milk into flour mixture. Add vanilla. Mix well and pour into a well greased baking pan. Bake for approximately 15 minutes until cake has risen and golden brown in colour. Remove, cool and ice as desired. Enjoy !!!
