Lovely warming soup...the ginger was slightly overpowering so I added in more carrots and some lemon juice to balance the heat. Excellent soup for the winter chills

@Rashida Salim - On the packet it says that 1 packet of smash powder (104g/110ml) makes 600g/600ml of smash to give you an idea of how much mashed potato to use as replacement. Although i havent tried it with mashed potato.

@Fatema - I bought from the chocolate factory in the east Rand area however the local substitute would me nutticrust . I find the lotus biscuit is the rich men’s nutticrust 🤣 Add alittle ginger n nutmeg powder to the biscuit when you crushing
So if im using can chana n can bake beans do i still drain da sause frm.bke beans n da chana do i drain da water as it is fem a can.. .jzkl ...need to mke tomorrow

@Nasreen - I just made. You can switch off the stove with the melted butter in the pot. Just leave the pot on the hob and mix in the other ingredients
