AsSalaamuAlaykum. I made chicken tenders using this recipe. They came out delicious. Even the fussy little ones ate them nicely Alhamdulillah. I didn't have mielie meal so I substituted maizena/ corn flour. Still lovely. JazaakAllahu-khair for sharing.

Sorry but the koeksister recipe was not right. The liquid itself was too much for two cups of flour. Lucky I added little at A time. Dough was good. When I put the fried koeksister into the syrup it got mushed up. Won't make this again.

@Ameena Atcha - Slmz. I take milk n about 2 tbsp vinegar. Warm kn microwave for 30 seconds

@Nazir Jooman - Taj is cinnamon sticks. I personally wouldn't add the rose water. You could try if you like.
What is "Tajj"? Would adding a hint of Rose Water to the rice give a nice twist?
