Excellent recipe. Jazakillahu khairaa. I used rose syrup for sweetness and colour. And sprinkled crushed pistas over the top. The recipe, I think it's originally credited to Anisagrams: https://instagram.com/anisagrams?utm_medium=copy_link
My sister also enjoyed it and I will never give her this recipe EVER. (^^,)
My sister has a soji cake recipe and she will never share that recipe EVER! I tried this recipe and OMG, my husband and kids loved it. Totally a keeper
@Bhai Seedat - Wow this sounds really interesting Will try it out Thanks for the idea 🤗
@Shanoo - It's a course flour made from maize You can substitute it with cornmeal
Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. I made it today and it’s delicious…..reminds me of my childhood when my nanima and dadi made it. Thank you. It’s a keeper.

Slms. I made this last Sunday and I also put less butter and more sojee. It was delicious. Jzk for sharing
Slmz. Was really tasty! Even tho I didn't get the butter-chickenish taste it was still good الحمد الله!
@Firdous - Thanks, Firdous for the feedback.
Nice
Slms.... Absolutely devine.. My boys devoured them
I've tried your recipe 4 times now and each time it was perfect, I added grated milky bar as the topping amongst coloured almonds, the grate milky bar gave the burfi taste a kick. Thank you.
Tried these today came out lovely
Slms tried this last night and turned out amazing, I couldn't find the Spur sauces however so I used the meister sauces, basting and rib
@Foodies_funnies_finds - inshallah
This was really easy & delicious!
@Cosmicgirl - Its only a pleasure, hope you enjoy it.
@Aadilah Essuf - Jzk so much. Looks yum.
@Cosmicgirl - Wslmz, maaf, I throw my dijon mustard when I add my tomato paste & Worcestershire. You can add more oil to the pot if you want to brown your onions but I don't, to help brown the onions quick I would also add a pinch of salt
Slms, where does the dijon mustard go in your recipe? And once you've removed the beef from the pot do you then add olive oil again and then fry the onions?
@🍨🍰ayshdok🍕🍟 - Ameen . Let me know ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Sounds easy enough. Trying for breakfast in Sha Allah.
jazakallah i will gve it a try
@Rabia - barakallah
@Shafeeka Dockrat - Made this many times turn out perfect Alhamdullilah May be you can try using less water/milk next time ....
🤩welcome, u can freeze extras, thaw for an hour
Saucy Chicken before adding the chips ⬇️
Chopped red chilli ⬇️
This recipe is so simple and well explained. It's saucy and Alhamdulillah it came out perfect. I just didnt use the tomatoes and I kept it overnight in the fridge and I had to steam it for 2 hrs for it to get cooked.. I think if had I cooked immediately as per the recipe it would have been perfect. So a big thank you to the sister who took time out to write the recipe and tips jazakAllah. May Allah Ta'ala reward you and your family with khair and aafiyah.

It turned out too sticky, syrupy and mushy. How could I have prevented this from happening?
