@Tazzy - I'm not sure what could've went wrong. Generally when the syrup is overcooked it gets hard. The syrup needs to be cooked until it reaches one string consistency.

@Fatima Shakir - What ever the size of the tin is ,usually about 375-400 ml in our grocery stores and iv only ever seen one size
These taste lovely:) We are not much of a butter cream family so i used Burfee flavoured fresh cream instead
Im not sure what went wrong mine was abit harder but if i microwave it for a few seconds before serving its great Im pretty sure i didnt over cook it but what else would/ could be the reason?

@Yasmin - Wslm, jee its just two diff steps, you can either do it on the stove the other is in the oven. For both make sure the butter is melted first. 😉
