@TAZZY - Sometimes the chana is sitting at the store for a while. I've tried it with mugni dhal, not chana, but old indian trick is to use pinch bicarb to make it soft. Someone else said they would boil the chana before cooking to soften it.
This is the best crumpets ixvextasred and made so far.. just added a little mor milk n sugar. JazzakAllah so much

@TAZZY - Fresh is always better... The flavour is stronger and adds a nice fresh zing! However dried would work too.. How did it come out for you?

tried it ..was nice...accept my chana soaked entire night and cooked for almost two hrs,and i bought it the day before so i dont think it was old..lol
this is a nice alternative to plain cake....if u want cake without icing.. hubby and kids whacked it
did this need dried parsley or fresh? would that make a difference?i used dried ...

I put the pur in the oven and all the nuts as well. Cams out divine. I added some garlic to the vagaar as well

hello I just broke biscuits in pieces not to fine. no butter required. put in dessert cups as is
